Aimee L. Schimizzi, MD

 

Dr. Aimee Schimizzi was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and attended medical school at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California San Diego and then continued her postgraduate training with a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the C.V. Starr Hand Surgery Center/ St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

 

Dr. Schimizzi has presented research at the local, regional, and national level, and has multiple publications in the medical literature. Her specialty interests include upper extremity trauma, instability, shoulder and elbow disorders, and upper extremity reconstruction.

 

Dr. Schimizzi resides in the triangle area and enjoys running, yoga, hiking, and traveling.
